Real talk from a mum of 3 (and self-proclaimed kid whisperer)

Let’s be honest – kids are unpredictable. One minute they’re full of giggles, the next they’re hiding behind your legs refusing to smile unless they get a snack shaped like a dinosaur. And that’s not just okay – it’s completely normal.

As a photographer and a mum of three, I know exactly how this goes. You arrive to your session hoping for just one nice photo where everyone’s kind of smiling and not crying.
But here’s the truth: whether your kids are wild, shy, grumpy, or bouncing off the walls – we’ll still get the magic.

Here’s why I don’t need your kids to be “perfect.”

I’m not about stiff poses or “say cheese” smiles. I’m here for the real stuff – the cuddles, the cheeky grins, the wind-blown hair, and those big belly laughs. That’s where your family’s magic lives. That’s what we’re capturing.

Sessions with me are playful, not pressured.

We’ll run, explore, play games, and maybe even hunt for invisible fairies or race through the grass. It’s gentle, it’s fun, and totally stress-free.

And here’s my secret weapon... I’m kind of a kid whisperer.

Kids are my people. I get them. I get down on their level (literally and emotionally), and somehow, we always become little besties by the end. It’s not a trick or a strategy – it’s just my thing. I’ve got a knack for it. So if you’re worried they won’t “behave”... I promise, they’ll feel safe, seen, and heard with me.

Need a pause? We take one.

If your little one needs a snack, a cuddle, or just a breather – no worries. We stop. We slow down. We regroup. There’s no clock ticking or pressure to perform.

The “off” moments? Often the best ones.

Some of the most meaningful images I’ve ever taken happened during those so-called “meltdowns.” A toddler resting their head on mum’s shoulder. A dad swooping their little one up mid-tears. These raw, beautiful, in-between moments are what make the session truly yours.

You don’t need to control anything. Just love on your people.

Your only job is to show up, breathe, and love your family. I’ll take care of the rest with a full heart and a camera ready to capture it all.
